Welcome to Powhatan and welcome to Kindergarten. We are so excited to meet and get to know your children. On Thursday, August, 28, 2003 we invite the parents to come and meet the teachers and to learn about your child's first month of school. We are looking forward to seeing you then! During the school year, your child will do the following:
- Explore different science topics (ocean, apples, health and body, rainforest, plants and animals)
- Participate in a school play
- Present an Author Study and an Animal Project to the class
- Field trips to Ridgefield Farm in West Virginia, Winchester Medical Center, Blandy Farm, National Zoo
- Visit Rose Hill
- We do all these activities in addition to our reading, math and writing program.
- We will have FUN!!!!

There are two Kindergarten classrooms. Jennifer Hull and Lola Milhon are the teacher for one room. Julie Stringer and Jenny Kronfeld are the teachers for the second room.
