The Process

The class will be divided into three groups, each one with specific concerns to explore.

  1. Group One will explore the variety of activities considered to be plagiarism so the team can create a PP presentation that will define unethical use of the web
  2. Group Two will explore the difference between paraphrasing and plagiarizing so the team can create a PP presentation that will list strategies for avoiding inappropriate paraphrasing.
  3. Group Three will explore prevention and detection so the team can create a PP presentation that will list strategies for preventing and  detecting plagiarism.
  4. After the presentations, the group will convene a faculty meeting to create a policy statement detailing the responsibilities of both the students and the faculty
