The participants of Summercore 96 #1 decided to take a survey on their favorite Olympic Athlete of all time. The following were nominated:

Mark Spitz, 1968 and 1972 Olympiads in Mexico City and Munich, won 9 gold medals in swimming.
Eric Heiden, 1980 Olympiad in Lake Placid, five gold medals in speed skating.
Bonnie Blair, 1988, 1992, 1994 Olympiads in Calgary, Amberville, and Lillehammer won gold medals in all of them for speed skating.
Greg Louganis, 1976, 1984, 1988 Olympiads in Montreal, Los Angeles and Seoul won medals and gold in the last two. Especially admired with his winning in Seoul after his head hitting accident.
Tommy Moe, 1994 Olympiad in Lillehammer, won two medals, one gold, in skiing.
After voting through a net venue Mary Lou Retton and Jesse Owens tied and we decided to leave both as favorite female and male Olympic athletes. During the voting Nadia Comanecci, Dan Jansen and Vladimir Horvat received one vote each. People were allowed to vote outside of the nominations.
